Self-taught artist, Willie Dave, is from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and is currently based out of Austin, TX.

Knowing she wanted to be an artist from an early age, she built herself through research and practice. Inspired by how others can be emotionally impacted by art, she sought for her work to have high contrast with heavy saturated color. In order to help people find comfort in that they are not alone.

She seeks to capture the black experience not only as the subject matter but from the view point as well because she believes there is more than one way to be a black artist and make black art.

In 2022, she created her art business and started making professional paintings. Later on that summer, she was featured in the 9th Annual Juried Exhibition in Fort Worth,TX.
